Dr. Jagdish Shettigar
Dr. Jagdish Shettigar is Enkita Consultants' Chief Economist.
Being involved in Politics with one of the two leading Indian party, he is now
head of his party economic cell, in charge of the economic program. He had
previously been a member of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council
for several years.
A prominent academic, Dr. Jagdish Shettigar taught in leading universities in
Bengalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Among other assignments, he has been Senior
Economist at the ASSOCHAM (Associated Chambers Of Commerce and Industry of India)
and director of the Economic Research Foundation (FICCI) in new Delhi.
Dr. Jagdish Shettigar has worked on economic sectors such as industry, energy,
research and development, infrastructure, public finance, foreign trade and
foreign investment. He is a recurring contributor to major Indian publications
and is often a guest of economic TV programs.
Dr. Jagdish Shettigar hold a BA and an MA in economics from Bangalore university.
He obtained a doctorate in the same field from IIT Delhi.
